The Faculty of Experimental Sciences currently offers three Bachelor’s degree programmes: Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Faculty members from around twenty different fields of knowledge participate in teaching these degrees and conduct research in the main scientific disciplines, such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, Botany, Ecology, Zoology, Toxicology, Soil Science, Geology, and other related areas.
The Faculty offers a wide range of facilities aimed at both the academic and personal development of students, improving their skills and enabling them to acquire the experience necessary for the further development of their professional careers in the fields of Environment, Biotechnology, Data Science, and AI. Our strong teaching and research opportunities are closely linked to the high quality of the scientific output of the researchers who are part of the Faculty’s teaching staff. Research activities cover a broad spectrum, ranging from the resolution of fundamental scientific questions to applied research, including technology transfer.
